AN ACT PROHIBITING THE SALE OF IVORY AND RHINOCEROS HORN IN CONNECTICUT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the sale of ivory and rhinoceros horn in the state.

Statement of Purpose:

To minimize the illegal trade of ivory and rhinoceros horn, which may fund terrorist activities.

The Statement of Purpose, to minimize the illegal trade of ivory and rhinoceros horn, which may fund terrorist activites [emphasis added] goes to show that this is based on nothing but propaganda without evidence. There is NOTHING linking trade of ivory in the United States with terrorism.
